Thunder announce National Talent League coaching team & trial dates

Northern Thunder is pleased to announce that Paul Harper has agreed a new two year deal to remain the Head Coach of Thunder NTL. Harper will be joined once again by Assistant Paula Stokes and Team Manager Phil Thomas. He will be hoping to build on the success of the last three seasons where Thunder were 2009/10 Champions and have finished second in the seasons either side. Paul commented: “I along with Paula and Phil are delighted to continue with the development of our North West athletes and will work hard to maintain the excellent reputation of Northern Thunder NTL.”
 
The NTL will run via an amended format with a pre-season tournament, two central venue weekends and four league fixtures. The new format is to assist athletes within the England Netball Performance Pathway to prepare for the same format that they will experience at World Championships and Commonwealth Games.
 
National Talent League trials will take place on Tuesday 4th October 2011 and Tuesday 11th October 2011. Both trials will be from 6pm-9pm at Wright Robinson Sports College. The athletes who are successful at the Regional Academy trials on 1st October 2011 will trial on the 11th October. All others will trial on the first date (4th Oct)
